How to Choose an Electric Oven for Your Retail Range: 40L vs 60L vs 80L
40L, 60L or 80L? A practical guide for brands and distributors on matching electric oven capacity to channel, household size and price point — and the specifications to confirm before you order.

If you are building an electric oven range for retail or e-commerce, capacity is the first decision — it sets your price point, your carton size and the household you are selling to. DIAKING's electric oven line runs in three steps: 40L, 60L and 80L. Here is how buyers typically position each one.
40L — the entry step
The 40L is the compact end of the range: singles, couples and small kitchens, and the natural fit for e-commerce and promotional retail where shelf price matters most. Our DKE40A pairs the 40L cavity with 1600W rated power, a 100–250°C temperature range and a 60-minute timer with bell ring, plus an enamel-coated bake tray, chrome wire rack and tray handle. For many programmes this is the volume model.
60L — the mainstream family size
The 60L is where family cooking sits: a whole chicken, larger trays, batch baking. If your channel is mid-range retail or a marketplace store that leads with one hero model, this is usually the step to build around. It gives shoppers a visible upgrade from entry models without moving into premium pricing.
80L — the large-capacity step
The 80L serves large households and keen home bakers, and anchors the top of the range. Even if it is not your volume model, having the 80L in the line makes the 60L easier to sell — shoppers trade up and down within a range they can compare.
What to confirm beyond capacity
- Power and temperature range for your market's voltage — and the plug type your channel requires.
- Timer and control style: mechanical simplicity at entry level, or the control feel your price point expects.
- Included accessories: trays, racks and handles differ by model and matter in unboxing reviews.
- Carton dimensions and loading quantities: freight cost per unit can move your landed price more than the factory price does. Ask for the packing data with your quotation.
- OEM options: logo, housing colour, manual language and retail packaging are all configurable on this range.
Building the range
Most distributors we work with do not take all three sizes at once. Start with the step that matches your channel's price ladder, prove the sell-through, then extend. Send us your target market and the price point you are aiming at, and we will recommend a size mix and confirm the details in a quotation.
